Morpeth Fair Day is held annually on the second Sunday in June. In 2018, it is on Sunday 10th June.

Fair Day has been attracting visitors to the town for over 27 years. It is the Morpeth and District Chamber of Trade’s annual flagship event and regularly attracts over 30,000 visitors to the town. With plenty of entertainment, interesting stalls, displays, games, rides and activities, there is something for visitors of all ages to enjoy throughout the day.

Morpeth Fair Day’s initial aims were to raise funds for Christmas lights and also to showcase Morpeth. However Fair Day has grown over the years and currently raises a healthy profit of approximately £6,000 – £7,000 each year, which is used to fund other Chamber events such as Morpeth in Bloom, Christmas lights, tourism and the More in Morpeth website.

As well as offering visitors and residents a great day out, the Chamber is proud to be able to create a retail platform for local shops, independent craftspeople and market traders, as well as giving charitable organisations an opportunity to raise money for good causes. The estimate of funds raised by charities on the day have exceeded £8,000.

Don't forget, Chamber members receive a 25% stall holder discount and there is a 10% discount for Morpeth and district businesses, who are attending for the first time!

There are also great sponsorship opportunities from £50 - a great marketing opportunity for local businesses!
